Maths

In maths this week we have been learning how a fraction of a whole number, and multiplying a fraction of a whole number is the same thing:

3/7 of 21 (we divide by the denominator and multiply by the numerator) 21 divided by 7 = 3. 3 x 3 = 9 so the answer would be 9.

3/7 x 21 (we multiply the numerator by the whole number)

21 x 3 = 63. Then we divide by the denominator (7)

63 divided by 7 = 9.

Spellings

This week we are looking at the prefix 'ir' and 'un'.

First, write your spellings down on a piece of paper, checking the spelling is correct
Then, look through them
Next, read the word and write without looking back
Finally, check your spellings.

Now can you jumble each spelling word up to make a different word? e.g. Irregular =leg air urr.

Once you have done this with each word see if you can work out what the word is. Try it on a sibling or parent too. Good luck!
