Personalised Assessment
Children in Years 2 to 6 undertake online assessments in Numeracy, Reasoning and Reading using the Hwb online learning platform. This normally happens twice a year (Autumn and Summer). The results of these assessments give teachers useful information about how the children are progressing in numeracy and literacy and are used alongside other assessments, classroom observations and pupil work, to provide your child's class teacher with information about how they can help your child continue to make progress.
As parents you also have access to information on the Hwb website (https://hwb.gov.wales/) about how your child performed in the recent assessments and how you can help them with their learning at home. The attached guide (see below) explains how to access this information and what it means.
