NUTS the Squirrel

NUTS the squirrel is an important character in school. He reminds us of the literacy and numeracy skills we have learned in our Maths and English lessons and encourages us to use them in other activities.

Literacy and numeracy skills are really important life skills. They help to make everything easier. NUTS the squirrel collects nuts and stores them up so he can eat them in the winter when there isn't much food around. We store up literacy and numeracy skills so we can use them when we need them.

NUTS stands for Now Use This Skill.
