Maths
This week in maths we have been learning to find a fraction of an amount, and remembering the key rule:
"Divide by the denominator and multiply by the numerator".
The numerator is the top number of the fraction and the denominator is the bottom number.

Spellings
This week we are have been introducing the il prefix- for words beginning with l, which produces the double ll (e.g. legal – illegal, literate – illiterate, but note some exceptions: like – dislike, load – unload).
We have also introduced the im prefix- for words beginning with m, b or p (e.g. immature, improbable, imbalance).
