This fortnight we will be

returning to our context

We kindly ask that

EVERYONE

completes at least 2 challenges...

Challenge 1...

Thank you Zac for your

fabulous book review.

It gave the grown ups

an idea...

Now it's your turn!

Which fairytale character

would you like to be?

Why?

Paint a picture, then finish the sentence...

"If I were a fairytale character,

I would be...

because..."

⭐️ Pupil Voice ⭐️

Let's look at the questions that

we have left to answer...

Can we make a crown and go to a ball?

Can we make houses out of sweets like Hansel and Gretel?

Are fairytales real?

Can we go into fairytales?

What makes a fairytale?

In the next three challenges,

we are going to try to

answer the questions

we have left...

Challenge 2...

A challenge from the

Fairy Godmother...

Picture 1

Grown ups – This challenge is a tricky one!

It is a problem solving related challenge.

Basically the children need to find as many ways as possible to organise their 3 jewels.

If they only find 3 ways that is perfectly acceptable…

We would like to focus on the recording of findings again this week!

Please could you discuss recording with your child and let them decide on how they will present their findings.

Thank you – we are looking forward to our SCHOOL BALL

(The ball will take place during the week beginning 13th July – more

information to follow).

Challenge 3...

Can we make houses

out of sweets like

Hansel and Gretel?

Yes we can!

Have a look at the

pictures below.

What will you use

to make your house?

Challenge 4...

This challenge is a tricky one.

The grown ups had to put their heads together to try to find the answers.

We started with this question:

What makes a fairytale?

Click on the grown ups below to listen to what they found out.

Does it answer this question?

If you listen carefully it might also answer these questions too...

Are fairytales real?

Can we go into fairytales?

This is a tricky one!

There will be a PRIZE for the best enchanted grown up!!!

Children you can use face paints or make up to transform your grown ups features.

Thanks Martha for the brilliant idea... 👏👏👏

Now that we have finished learning about Fairytales we thought we would finish with an alternative story...

This is Mrs Jones' favourite!

please can we ask you to

Please take a photo and email it to us.

We will be using these for

Grown Ups - we will be using these portraits for the children's school reports...

Please encourage them to look closely at their hair colour, skin tone, eye colour etc.
