Week 5

We have had a bonkers week this week!

We have been learning all about how we can re-use and recycle different materials...

After our 'Swap Shop' we thought about how else we could recycle clothes.

We came up with the idea of re-designing our old t-shirts into new t-shirts....

We read a book about Greta Thunberg and learnt all about the work that she does to promote the climate crisis.

We decided that instead of just decorating our T-Shirts, that we would decorate them with important messages about our world to encourage people to take climate change more seriously!

We recycled milk bottles into new things....

Our challenge was to use our imagination to turn the milk bottle into something different...

Can you guess what we've made?

We have made Seagulls...

Shakers...

A dolphin...

And even an airplane cat...

We've been learning all about Carbon Footprint and how it effects our world...

We are currently designing our very own 'Jubilee Garden' in the Year 1 Area.

This is part of a competition that is being held by TESCO.

They have donated us some compost and seeds but the rest is down to us.

If you have any flowers, seeds plants or compost spare we would love it for our garden....

We've been practising our writing this week!

We have been writing paragraphs all about our 'Planet Protector'

We have been our counting the different vehicles that drive past our school. One group spotted 124 cars!

We had a fabulous Afternoon Tea we had celebrating the Queen's Jubilee.

We all dressed up...

We ate lovely food...

And even learnt a song...

Happy Royal Jubilee
