After school football training for YEAR 5 AND 6 GIRLS
Football training (2018 - 2019) is underway. We will run the club until the Easter holidays 2019. Please find a copy of the letter we sent out to everyone who attends training below. If you wish to join the club please speak to Mr Seymour in Year 2. Please note there are currently no spaces left at the moment however your name will be added to the waiting list. Many thanks.
Football training for Year 5 and 6 girls will take place every Thursday on the field (3:30pm - 4:15pm). If you would like your child to attend please collect a consent form from the main office and return the completed form to Mr Welch (Year 4 teacher) or Miss Todd (Year 6 teaching assistant). Please note places will be allocated on a first come first serve basis. We will write to you again to confirm if your child has been given a place in the club.
If your child is given a place we expect them to attend as many training sessions as possible and follow all rules and instructions at all times. The first session will be on Thursday 4th October. At the end of each session please pick your child up from the Year 5 and 6 door leading onto the junior playground. If your child is walking home on their own or needs to go to after school club then please state this in the ‘Arrangements for collection’ section on the consent form. During each session children MUST wear shin pads, appropriate kit and footwear, preferably football boots.
Please be aware that in the event of bad weather training sessions may be cancelled. We will inform you as soon as possible if this happens. Please make sure your child is aware of their pick up arrangements if a training session was to be cancelled. If ever you think your child may be unsure of their pick up arrangements or you are unsure if training is going ahead please ring the school by 3pm.
Over the year your child may be selected to represent the school in a football match against another local primary school. We are hoping to have matches both home and away. For an away match we may hire a minibus to travel there and would ask for a voluntary contribution to cover the cost. Please note that if your child is selected for a match we will provide you with a letter and consent form.
