At Ton Yr Ywen Primary School, the safety and wellbeing of our pupils and staff when using digital technologies is a priority. We have a robust Online Safety (e-Safety) Policy in place, alongside clear Acceptable Use Agreements, to ensure technology is used responsibly and safely.
Online safety is taught to all pupils as part of the curriculum, helping them to understand how to stay safe when using the internet and digital devices. Pupils also take part in assemblies that address key online safety issues, including cyberbullying. In addition, we welcome an annual visit from our School Liaison
Officer from South Wales Police, who supports our work by speaking to pupils about staying safe online.
We aim to support parents and carers by offering regular information and guidance on online safety, and we are always happy to provide additional support or advice if requested. We encourage parents and carers to work in partnership with the school by talking to their children about online safety and monitoring their use of technology at home.
We have listed some resources here, which we hope you find useful.
